today [livejournal.com profile] brokenbeany, [livejournal.com profile] uv_lue and i went to see the latest offering from my favourite director. it did not disappoint... everybody should see it.

then, after ditching lue on new oxford street, thingy and i raced to finsbury to have a cup of tea with* [livejournal.com profile] purple_emma before grabbing a bite to eat and racing back to central london to catch the second film in our matinee movie madness day which was the fountain.

darren aronofsky certainly knows his stuff. apart from the whole digging a hole in the frozen soil with bare hands thing, the film was beautiful, even the enormous ackman was brilliant. so glad we caught it before it's run ends [tomorrow]

i leave you with this video

foz's & coll john's birthdays, then brighton for my mate tab's birthday, then national theatre of brent on sunday .

the fountain was a bit sentimental, but not sickeningly so... would definitely advise acquiring it on dvd
