Jun. 30th, 2007 07:38 pmopen air swimming on the heath was turbo fun. targ, chris, ally, abby, luke and i cavorted around in the worryingly brown waters of the mixed bathing pond. the attendants seemed most amused, although there was the inevitable telling off for reckless behaviour.
the weather gods responded to their offering in their typically torrential style. and so my brave companions and i sought refuge in a nearby pub. tasty food, nice beverages, and for the last time, an indoors cigar capped off a thoroughly successful outing.
all this coupled with the miles of running all over the heath i did trying to find the place after having to ditch the taxi i feel properlyexorcised exercised. the driver had burst his tyres trying to squeeze through a gap that didn't exist then had the temerity to try and charge me the full fair. what a nob.
