he's not doing it anymore... there was an accident a couple of years ago and the heavy traffic in the vicinity of his house prevented the emergency services from attending the scene.

but then one could ask the same question of people hooning around the countryside on large engined high perfomance vehicles ;P

i guess it's the sort of thing that happens when an engineer's not happy/bored with his home life and has a few quid kicking around to finance a little escapism... kinda like fishing only without the water, early starts & assault from the elements
